I've stared a new project. I've wanted to learn photo restoration techniques for a while. My father, as unofficial archivist for his side of the family, has been supplying me with snapshots from the seemingly endless number of shoeboxes that serve as the archive. I armed myself with a decent scanner, a tutorial manual, and about a zillion mp3s for company. Progress is slow, because I have to wait until the rest of my family has gone to bed...otherwise, there are too many distractions. I seem to be improving; however, I noticed that I tend to overcompensate for the yellow cast that affects many of the pics. I have learned, so far: Cyan

I decided to try to teach myself Poser and see how that integrates with my other stuff. Maybe I'll get a job in the movies if things work out. So far, it's pretty daunting just because there are so many variables. I bought a book. Hooray for trying new things.
